On 11 September 2018, 13 experts from China Machinery Industry Federation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Military Academy of Sciences, Academy of
Environmental Sciences, Peking University and other units appraised the spectrum throwing (PMOP) technology.
The appraisal report shows:
1. It is found that the increase of exhaust smoke of in-use diesel vehicles is closely related to the damage of engine oil supply system coupling and the
change of operating conditions, and it is determined that the quality of diesel fuel is the main cause of this phenomenon.
2. The new technology of PMOP is proposed, i.e. adopting innovative methods such as ‘active maintenance, deep filtration and in vitro purification’,
which fundamentally improves the lubrication status of the oil supply system components of diesel vehicles, and effectively reduces the smoke level of
the diesel vehicle exhausts in use.
3. Developed polymer-modified materials that are resistant to industrial oils, independently researched and developed meltblown forming equipment,
prepared filter media with gradient distribution of pores from the outside to the inside; invented multi-stage all-in-one diesel fuel purifiers and in-vitro
purification devices for industrial oils; the filtration efficiency of the above equipment for 5-micron particles has reached 98.5 per cent, and the efficiency
of water separation has reached 100 per cent; and realised that the meltblown filter media, multi-stage all-in-one diesel fuel purifiers and in-vitro
purification of industrial oils can effectively reduce the exhaust gas level of in-use diesel vehicles. The industrialisation of meltblown filter material, multi-
stage integrated diesel purifier and industrial oil in-vitro circulation purification device.
The appraisal committee unanimously agreed that PMOP technology is an effective new method to control the exhaust smoke of in-use diesel vehicles,
which is original both at home and abroad, possesses completely independent intellectual property rights, and is at the international advanced level.
